Sophie (1994, Quebec) received a BFA in Studio Arts & Print Media from Concordia University in 2016, and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Design from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts in 2022. She is one half of the experimental alternative-pop duo Renée Calme, based in New York.

Her work has been presented at ELEKTRA in Montreal, Nuisance Gallery in New Jersey, and Vox Populi in Philadelphia. Her publications have been featured at events hosted by Index Space in New York and the MUU Contemporary Art Center in Helsinki. In 2024, she published Spiral Engineering, a speculative reverse-engineering manual published by Quickbooks in New York.

As a designer, she has collaborated with artists and curators on exhibitions, worked with the studio 2x4 on visual identity projects, and served as Design Director of The Brooklyn Rail.

As an educator, she has developed and taught courses in experimental technology, creative coding, moving image, and typography at Parsons School of Design, the University of Pennsylvania, the School of Visual Arts, Rutgers University, and Index Space.
